The European Association of International Education (EAIE) 31st annual Conference and Exhibition took place in Helsinki’s Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre on September 24-27, 2019.
The Abdullah Gül University attended this major event, Europe’s largest International Education Conference, for the 6th time in a row. The institution was represented by International Office Director, Mr. Emeric Abrignani.
This year’s EAIE event welcomed over 6000 participants from around 100 countries for its 3-day program of workshops, sessions and poster presentations.
Emeric Abrignani also joined an EAIE Expert Community and became a Resource Person for the “Admissions and Recognition” division, whose objective it is to “share best practices, identify and discuss policy, legal and political issues that impact recognition of educational credentials and contribute to developing theory and methodologies in credential evaluation and international admissions“.
Over the course of the event week, Mr. Emeric Abrignani had the opportunity to sit down and catch up on collaboration opportunities with existing partners Universidad del Rosario (Colombia), Xi’an Jiaotong University (China), Dorset College Dublin (Ireland), Otago Polytechnic (New Zealand), Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi (Romania) and SolBridge International School of Business (South Korea), as well as to meet with many new potential collaborators, including the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and Universidad de los Andes (Colombia).
Overall, the EAIE week in Helsinki was very successful and AGU looks forward to shaping the meetings with fellow higher education institutions into concrete new partnership projects.
