This month, the Abdullah Gül University attended the 2nd EURIE Higher Education Summit in Istanbul, represented by AGU Institutional Erasmus Coordinator and Head of the AGU Youth Factory, Mrs Zeynep Tuğçe Çiftçibaşı Güç.
EURIE was launched for the first time in 2016 in order to bring together higher education institutions and professionals, especially of the Eurasian region in order to foster closer international collaborations and innovative programs for the universities of the future.
In 2017, the event was organised under the topic “Connecting the Continents for Global Education”.
Within the space of 3 days, this year’s EURIE Summit and Exhibition welcomes over 2.500 attendees from 53 different countries, including around 150 exhibitors; the event also hosted 100 speakers and 33 discussion panels.
Abdullah Gül University representative, Mrs. Güç, also led a roundtable entitled “Implementing International Internships”, in which she outlined the current challenges existing in the field of youth employment and how international internships could help build young people’s CV and make them stand out more on the job market.
AGU had a very successful week at EURIE and will continue its efforts to join all major international education summits (EURIE, NAFSA, EAIE and APAIE) in order to promote the University and grow its international network for research and study collaborations, as well as non-formal learning and teaching activities!
