After an initial contact established during the NAFSA International Education Conference in Boston and followed up by International Office Representatives of both Institutions during the last EAIE International Conference in Glasgow earlier this year; AGU has now officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Malaya (Kuala Lumpur).
The Malaysian institution, which was founded in 1949, is now one of the most esteemed in its country and has also gained great international renown, ranking 146th in the QS Top University World Rankings 2015/2016 and 29th in the QS Top Asian University Ranking.
Like the Abdullah Gül University, UM places great emphasis on high quality research and education, as well as social responsibility.
The Memorandum was more specifically signed between UM’s Faculty of Built Environment (currently offering five Undergraduate programs) and AGU’s Faculty of Architecture. It has opened the doors to future cooperation between the two academies such as student and/or academic staff exchanges, joint research activities, exchange of publications, reports and other academic materials, as well as the sharing of activities and programs in areas of mutual interest.
AGU now looks forward to taking advantage of these great opportunities, strengthening this dawning collaboration and further expanding its international connections.
