The Abdullah Gül University (AGU) recently took part in the 5th “Study in Turkey” Educational Fair organized by TRUCAS in Germany.
With the growing interest for Turkish study experiences, TRUCAS (Turkish Universities and Colleges Admissions Services), has been organizing these fairs in order to bring together the most renowned Turkish universities with German youths (and their families) wishing to complete their Undergraduate or Graduate studies in Turkey.
The program this year included stops in Cologne, Stuttgart and Munich. AGU (via its International Office), chose to take part in the Munich fair day, Bavaria being an important region (and potential source of future international students) for our University, due to the high academic level of its High School students. In fact, this region has the highest Abitur (German High School exam) rate in the whole country.
During the course of the fair, many German students stopped by the AGU stand and picked up our brochure. They were curious to learn more about AGU’s unique Third Generation vision and wanted to know more about the University’s projects (especially in terms of youth development), its programs and its environment.
German students are starting to become more familiar with AGU’s approach and were very enthusiastic about the academic and international development of the University. Moreover, they support AGU’s will to positively impact our global society through collaboration, hands-on training, field-oriented research, youth exchanges, etc.
Now that the fair is over, we are looking forward to receiving the applications of these students and to welcome them to our campus in Fall 2015.
